Diane Moore

In 1992 I sadly lost my mother and while on ferry travelling to her funeral on the Isle Of Wight, there were a group of people laughing and joking and really enjoying themselves, they were very friendly they told md they were on their way to a line dance weekend. What was line dancing, i had never heard of it before? After that weekend I searched around and found a club in Reading it was at the old post office in Richfield Avenue, I joined the club and learnt to line and couple dance, after a while I decided I wanted to teach line dancing myself. In 1996 on the 13th of July I took my exams in Preston with the B.W.D.A to teach line and couple dancing. I then opened my first club in Twyford to teach all levels of line dancing. I then need to advertise, so I asked a friend (Ted) if he would take some pictures for my adverts, everyone helped me promote my club and the clubs that followed.
Its now 2023 and I love my teaching, meeting people at the clubs and seeing them enjoy themselves.

In 1997 I was a non dancer, I then got to know Diane who is now my wife. At the time my main hobby was photography, I was asked to come to the hall at Twyford to take pictures of the club members dancing for adverts and promotion of the clubs for new members, I sat on the floor watching the dancing thinking I like this, I asked how do I start to learn to dance? In 1998 Diane and I had formed a strong relationship in which Diane was now teaching me to dance, when I got it wrong by trying to leave beginner part and jumping to the next level she would slap me on the back of the leg. In 2000 we were married at a Country and Western wedding. In the same year on the 16th of June I took my exams with the B.W.D.A2000 in Guildford to become a fully qualified line dance instructor. I teach beginners (don't worry I won't slap the back of your legs) and intermediates. In the past I have taught dancers who wanted to take their gold medal exams.
Everyone is welcome to join ours clubs come along and enjoy!
